Wonder if Contador’s noise-reducing Beats by Dre headphones helped him tune out today’s CAS decision.
I’m guessing not.

Contador loses patience with a fan dressed up as a doctor.
Hell of a shot for a cyclist. Knuckles and everything. Well played, Bert.

YES.
If I were SaxoBank, I’d make as many Nuyens posters as possible. While Contador might have also won yesterday, the CAS is historically unkind to doping cyclists.
The court has upheld decisions on new tests against Tyler Hamilton and Franco Pellizotti, it re-suspended Alessandro Petacchi after he was briefly cleared of inhaler overuse, and most emphatically, it doubled a one-year ban against Danilo Hondo, after he brought the case to the court in hopes of having it thrown out entirely.
The UCI announced today that it would appeal Contador’s case; since the Spaniard has two positive samples, and (literally) cannot answer the question “Where’s the beef?”, I don’t imagine the CAS will show much deference to the opinion of a federation that’s been less than effective at prosecuting dopers in the past.
