QuestionIf Brad Wiggins wins Paris-Roubaix (and I realize he's not a favorite to do so, but he has done ok in the past), does he go down in history as the greatest cyclist of this generation? He'd have olympic gold medals, all the accomplishments on the track, the tour de france, and a monument. What else would there be for him to do?
He’d certainly have a strong case for “most versatile”, but off the velodrome the consistency hasn’t really been there. Guys like Cancellara or Cadel Evans are more limited in what they’ve excelled at, but they’ve also been strong contenders year after year.
