Christin Cooper’s emotional dialogue with the Olympic skier offended some viewers, but reporters are supposed to ask tough questions to find the humanity in stories.
"Find the humanity"? Has theatlantic watched even 15 minutes of NBC Olympic coverage? It’s sopping wads of humanity occasionally interrupted by commercials, sports, and commentators explaining the definition of “selfie”.
Last time I checked, reporters were supposed to ask tough questions to find facts, and let them tell the story. Dangerously little of that coming from Sochi in prime time.
