Where the world's toughest cycling blog puts cuts too lean for the front page, but too juicy for Twitter.

I like how Robert Gesink is looking over at Wiggo in this shot. Plenty of eyeballs were sizing up the Sky rider at the Dauphine today, but he kept it cool as a cucumber.
After a fantastic bit of teamwork from EBH leading into the final climb, Wiggins rode with precision and focus, following wheels, not panicking and picking which gaps he closed. I think I caught a wince or two under those Oakleys, but when the stage was over, I was left with the distinct sensation that, had the situation required it, he could have gone much, much harder.
It wasn’t just strong riding, it was the sort of calm, controlled riding you see from a confident, mature GC contender. I once decried the Wiggins bubble; I’d say today’s ride was a pretty strong sign that the market has corrected.
